Sarah Hardin, a high school science teacher at Mullen Public Schools was named the 2026 Nebraska Teacher of the Year in September. She addressed board members for the first time in January with her plan for the year and her primary message as Teacher of the Year.

@TeamPillen Commissioner Maher cheered on the students and praised the teachers and administrators for this big honor. He told everyone that this is a group effort and everyone should be very proud. St. Isidore’s is recognized as one of the best schools in the country.

@TeamPillen Governor Pillen thanked the teachers for all their hard work to earn the Blue Ribbon. He said teachers are one of the biggest impacts on kids and lead them to success.
